Who we are

Vehanta ("we") operates https://vehanta.com, an automotive intelligence service that helps people research used vehicles. Questions: privacy@vehanta.com.

What we collect

• Email address — only if you choose to give it to us (for example, with an owner report or by contacting us). Reports are free and require no email.
• Owner reports — the report text you submit, an optional display name and mileage, and a salted hash of your IP address for abuse prevention. We never store your raw IP. Your email, if given, is never displayed. To have a report you submitted removed, email privacy@vehanta.com — we remove it from public pages and delete the email and IP hash.
• Search inputs — VINs, listing URLs and year/make/model queries you submit, so we can build your report and improve the service.
• Technical basics — standard server logs (IP address, browser type).

What we do with it

• Generate your vehicle reports.
• Email you about Vehanta — early-access updates and product news. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Understand aggregate usage so we can improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties except the service providers that host our infrastructure.

Vehicle data

Report content is built from public government sources (NHTSA, EPA). Complaint and recall data describes vehicle populations, not individuals, and contains no personal information about you.

Cookies

We set no functional cookies of our own — reports are public and need no unlock. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time — email privacy@vehanta.com and we'll act within 30 days. Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have additional statutory rights.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we'll update the effective date above and note the change on this page.
